I knew cosmetics were 2x more expensive over there. I didn't know EVERYTHING was. I'm assuming wages are higher too? Can you please clarify?

I have an older brother that lives over in the US, and I've gone to visit him a few times. Everything is a lot cheaper; if I lived in the US instead of AUS, I'd spend less then half of what I spend now. As of this morning, a Chinese clove of Garlic is $1, an Australian clove of Garlic (grown in AUS) is $6. Both purchased from the same supermarket.

As for wages, I can't say from experience, as I've only ever worked online. Been doing it since I was 15. I do know that one of my friends makes about $400/w as manager at K-Mart, and another making $8/h at Blockbuster.

Man, Mortgage renting from from CA so expensive compete to most of the state, my retired mom, she lucky found a small one from pasadena CA which is only pay for like $800/month.

If you're single and spending $7,300/month, thats huge. You can save half of it from cut down stuff and live a normal average one, that's more balance.

My 2 cents.
