If I buy a youtube channel from 2007 will that help rank my videos a lot? If I just upload a video a do nothing else will it go to the first page without any blackhat methods?
If so that sounds like it's worth the investment.

I know with my aged YouTube they will give you more leeway on infractions. They won't ban you outright in two days or what have you if you just spam the hell out of something. As far as ranking easier? I don't see how they could allow more weight there without throwing things out of whack. Just speculation though.

I wonder why aged accounts cost so much then?

I used an account from 2011. For me the videos are getting faster a good ranking, so its better to have old accounts..

It definitely makes a difference when flagging videos for abuse as well as copyright infractions.

But it's NOT just the age of the account, account activity patterns are important as well. A dormant account from 2011 is probably less valuable than an active account created last week.

It helps a little. In my experience though as far as the accounts lasting longer it doesn't make a difference. I had an account from 2008 not too long ago get banned from one video, although the account was never active until then.
