I couldn't find any recent information, but I keep finding all these old articles that says Break.com pays $400-$2,000 for every video you make, wtf?
Does anybody know if this is true? What's the catch?

From their website:
Upload an original video. An original video is one you filmed yourself. If we feature your content on our homepage, we'll pay you $400 to sell it to us! If you prefer to license it to us, we will pay you $200. If you upload more videos, and have a 2nd video make the homepage, we'll pay you $500 to sell it to us! If you prefer to license it to us, we will pay you $300. For a third video (and every one thereafter) these payments go up to $600 and $400.

You only get paid if it gets featured on their homepage.

Aww that's lame. I bet that's almost impossible

getting it to homepage that's when you get payed well that sucks like the above guys says it impossible

I recently sold a video to break - and i asked about the prices, they mentioned an updated payment policy that included a much wider range of payment options. the video wasn't really that popular so i was surprised by all the interest. it wasn't going to be on the homepage, but they said it could be used in a compilation (my dog had climbed out of the kennel a few times, and i got it on tape). They explained everything to me pretty clearly and i had a few other interested offers, but break seemed like the most straightforward (the others involved future earnings and some other stuff that didn't really make sense). they paid up, and i put the money toward a junker truck. maybe i'll sell them another video after it breaks down and we blow it up ;)
