Hi all, I'm planning out a new website and started wondering if it's worth having an app for it?

For notifications etc.

I have no idea about the costs involved or how much I should budget.

Can anyone shed any light on costs?

and then ofcourse the $100 if u want to send it to the app store

Webview app will cost you zero if you Little bit about Android studio, also it will be like app icon for your website, although for notifications you may need to buy firebase to send notification and it will cost around 50 usd per month for small size website.

Costs very little if you're willing to spend a day on it. Get the Web2App CodeCanyon script. It's pretty basic, of course, its a webview wrapper around your website, but it's enough for most clients. Getting it approved and published to Google App Store etc is usually the harder part, depending on the niche you're in.

Bro what kind of app.

Web App = Free $Zero
Search on google for "converting your website into app" its free .

However if you want a Mobile app for IOS and android then it depends on the complexity of the website.

You can also buy ready made apps from evanto and themeforest.

Hey thanks for all your help guys, really appreciate it.

I will look into the free options first and see if they meet my needs.

I had no idea about the Webview apps on codecanyon.

It's not going to be a complex website so hopefully this will be enough :)

For ios you need to have native functionalities for approval. Android is easier to get approval so try that first and release it in google store. Web app is honestly crap, it's like a crome or safari browser.
In summary
Mobile app = native functionalities.
