So I'm interested in a dedicated server. Can somebody please reccomend a good one and what can I expect to pay for one.

The most important part is: Do you know how to manage a dedicated server? (ie. installing and configuring services, firewall, security, updating...). If not, your best bet is to either hire someone to do that for you or pick a managed dedicated server.
Even if you know how to do the admin stuff, it's still better to have someone do that for you in order to concentrate in the money making strategies. I have most of my dedicated servers with managed providers.

Want a dedicated server but concerned about its cost? Well, you are not alone. While the benefits of a dedicated server lure many organizations, the perceived high cost and complex management deter them from getting one. For a quality dedicated box you'll be spending between $90-400 a month depending on the hardware and bandwidth requirements you need. If the server is managed, then it will be more expensive.
I've been using GorillaServers for a couple of months now and have been very pleased with the hardware, speed, and uptime.
As for pricing, they're running a sale right now.
