How Much do you Think these Two Sites Make per Month?

I watched two sites come of age back in December. I am new and dont exactly know how they ranked so fast, in pretty competitive niches.

The 1st is an Amazon affiliate site. Average price point is like $100. How much do you think this site makes in affiliate commission each month with this kind of traffic?

This next one was fun to watch. It was a Adsense and Pay Per Call site. It was thin with 5 pages of content. It literally blew up overnight, in both sense of the term. They exploded to tons of traffic and lost it all overnight. They had to be killing it in that time period, though.

This guy seems like a pro to generate this much organic traffic in such a short amount of time. And, in a highly competitive niche.

oh lawd that second site must've banked hard

In the 1st, if the keywords they are targeting are buying keywords, and they have placed aff links strategically, 3 thousand upwards a month. Too many variables though. Could be more.

most likely less, amazon % is sooo low and I doubt he could make more than 10k+ monthly even with that kind of traffic, especially since I doubt most people have good conversions

It is a great amazon review site. It is tight and compact and built around and ranks for money keywords.

I really dont like amazon. I know there people who make tons but the commision is crap. I dont even have an amazon site and I somehow managed to sell like 140$ in power tools and made an awesome $4 or so. Ridiculous

Just this month, Amazon sold $680 of product.....my commission: $37 lol

You've obviously never been remotely successful with Amazon. I pulled $2k+ per month on around 500 daily visitors.
4% is low, but in volume it goes up to 8%, and that's really not bad. The shit people buy on Amazon once they get their is unbelievable. Totally unrelated stuff. I had fitness site, people ended up buying books, pots and pans, $1000 car tires/rims. I couldn't believe it. Of course it depends on the type of people but even still, my visitors were buying unrelated stuff, so that really mean any visitor should convert, unless your'e targeting a young demographic.

totally agree with this. I used to have travel related items from amazon as spacefillers on my travel site, and I swear I sold just as many toasters as lonely planet guide books!

I can't comment on the 1st website because I have no experience with making money off Amazon websites.

However for the 2nd website,

March = 75k visitors
April = 150k visitors

Based from my experience on my own websites, I can say that they are making between $0.20 - $1 per visitor.

For March, $15k - $75k and for April $30k - $150k.

To get a more accurate result of this, I would need to see how much the advertising company is paying per call. I ignored Adsense because I placed Adsense on 1 of my websites with another form of pay per call monetization method (pay per lead) and Adsense makes 1% of my websites total revenue.

Those are my assumptions and those are how much money my websites would make if I get that much traffic.

Hope that helps.
