I am trying to start a service offering unique handwritten high quality articles.

Do you think charging 20$ per article (500words) will get alot of orders keeping the quality high.

There are already alot of services offering articles quite cheap in marketplace but not sure if they provide quality.
What do you think?

You'll get quality here. But never value.

I've tried a ton here, and all were bad value for money. I've had 100x better luck away from here.

P.S it's standard to set price per 100 words.

So you'd be looking at $4 per 100 words at $20 per 500.

$4 per 100 words here will get you readable content. Nothing researched IMHO.

There's 3 parts to content I think, Readability (includes grammar), research conducted, tone. If you can hit all 3, then $4 per 100 words isn't bad.

Most experienced writers outside of BHW charges a minimum of .05 per word

Thank you very much. You cleared my view. I think 4$ per 100 words is decent for a good writer. And asking such for good quality is a way to go. I thought I will not get any client at such rate because it is expensive.

I think I should maintain quality to keep the few clients active rather then alot of clients.

Don’t hire a writer, hire an expert to write. I know a few translators IRL and even thou they are professionals and not cheap, they still struggle a lot when translating technical or legal documents. Context matters and knowledge of the field is crucial for quality writing. Just because an article is readable and grammatically correct, it doesn’t mean it is valuable to the reader. If you want quality content, you need to become an expert in the field or hire an expert to write for you. Ironically, if you want to rank high, your money site has to become an authority/expert as well:) Buying content from non-experts goes against that goal. I would buy content from no-name unqualified randoms only for 2nd , 3rd tier links in places where you don’t expect any organic traffic at all and are only interested in some link juice.

20$ for an expert and well researched 500-word article would be a steal and I doubt you’ll be able to consistently produce it at such a cheap rate. If you can, you should be able to charge more for it.

You can use reddit to source jobs

The going base rate for a writer is .05cents per word . So $20 for 500 words is actually low.

If you're a quality writer, who takes their time, def try to get this.

There are clients who value their writing team b/c they know how important writers are to long-term value of pots.

In a foreign country , you could work for less because American money works differently in another economy. Some places only earn $200 a month at a normal job, so if you can make $25 a day there, you're in a higher tax bracket.

Hope this helps

$0.05 USD at the low end. I'd recommend more like $0.10/word, assuming you're a native English speaker with a good grasp of grammar and page structure.

This is just for general blog posts. For sales pages, etc I don't think I've paid less than $400 for a good one.

Based on this title of " How much do you think a fair charge for a well written article?" don't overprice yourself.

First impressions matter in content and that would put me off straight away.

Don't ever ask how you should price your work. Turn the scheme upside down. Create high-quality content so that people can see your price as justified inside their minds. Oh, and be careful to compete with the price. If you let yourself get into this mad "rat race", you'll end up as low as 0.01$/word. At this point, you just won't be able to provide anything of high value.

I usually don't work for article . But, I remember someone paid me more than thirty for 500 words. Actually, It should be depend on how is the writing quality.
