Just a question to see how much people spend on there back-linking.
I have spoken to people who spend next to nothing and someone who spends around $500 a month.
As i am building some new sites i am finding less and less time to do backlinking and wonder if some of the services offered here and elsewhere are worth the cash and if they get good results.

Depends on the keywords they are going after. For example you can't spend $500 on a micro niche website which only makes $50-$100 per month. If they are spending money then surely they are looking for more profit then spending.

Spend wisely, don't outsource 100%, spend some time doing seo yourself. Start doing seo till you get into top 50 then start using services.

BTW i spend 30% of my earnings purchasing various services and i keep rest of the money.

I just do it the natural way. With Google's introduction of the Panda system it's become increasingly difficult to purchase quality backlinks. If you want to get good backlinks cheap I suggest that you hire someone in Asia or Eastern Europe to post links in contextually relevant discussion forums. You can normally get this done for about 20cents a post/link.

for a MNS, i usually spend no more than 20$, this kind of sites dont need a lot of Linkbuilding

Hi mate,

It really depends of the keyword and the type of service you are using. Sometimes it could be 10-20 usd sometimes could be couple of 1000's. But I personally spent about 200 USD monthly.

Cheers
Petko

I have spend from $30 a month to $500 a month for a combo of Adsense and Ecommerce sites.

As another newbie, I have also wondered this. What KIND of links do you buy? I am still figuring out the differences between them all

If you consider Scrapebox, Senuke, and a VPS the budget for my backlinks, then around $300. However, I create a good amount of mine manually. It's a big help in the serps.

For your question nobody can tell you the right amount that you can spend to upgrade your sites.
It depends on so many factors, which kind of sites you have?, how much is your budget? then you should have manage to spend accordingly and so on.

It really depends. On some sites I get away with purchasing a few links every 6 months, while on other ones I constantly have to pour links towards it to keep it up there in the results. Obviously the more competition, the more links that are needed to keep it good.

Some sites I spend $10 per month on, while others are $100+

I spend an absolute fortune every month. Don't be afraid to reinvest any earnings back into your business. This is how the snowball works.

I've had alot of people tell me they create their own backlinks and they get some traffic from just doing that.

I spend quite a bit on Private Blog networks. I have found a couple GEMS that have destroyed my competion. IMHO, in a post panda world you have to be part of a very secure, legitimate blog network. I've found a few that have done wonders, but are not cheap. I'm currently spending about +$200/per campaign.

thehobbster is right...i also spend a ton. a good $25,000+

like he said, it's about investing back into the biz

Yeah, spending 50% to 60% of gross revenue on links each month... It's painfully expensive.
