Ok, i'm new here and want to start making some cash on the side of my day job.

I hope this isn't untoward, but i'm just curious as to how much cash you make on any side gigs and what is involved along with the number of hours you spend every week.

For example, I plan on making around 500 - 1000 (starting off) by doing retail arbitrage between Ebay/Amazon.

Initially, I am writing some tools to scrape Amazon and compare similar products on Ebay. I also plan to scrape listings from Amazon for easy re-listing on Ebay.

Once the tools are set up I should be able to spend around 5 hours per week to manage the system and make the money.

go walk around town and ask people the same question.
see how they respond.
 
Enough to be happy, comfortable, put plenty away in savings, and be stressed as fuck 80% of the time.

I average around 30-40k a month. However my normal work day is 7am-2am on average in front of the computer. The grind is real.

That's about 532 hours a month. Most of the time thats fucking around on facebook and shit aswel and blogging etc and running a forum. Jesus thats alot of shit to do.

that's $65 per hour, plus forum and blog and fucking around on facebook doesn't bring much profit, you could hit $100 per h quite easily.

Because I get to buy flash things and not care about money ;). 532 hours is actually at the top end. I take alot of holidays and shit around the world. I woudl rather spend stupid amounts of hours in front of the computer and take holidays whenever than do a 9-5 and have to be around some asshole boss. In saying all that though I have built up a huge e-mail list over the last 2 years so I'll be using that more for income soon. Put it this way if I work a normal hour day I make around 30k.

Seems like you also have long work days ;)
