How much do you like lobster?

If I had the money to spend, maybe I'd buy the first one for that price as well :)
Well, you could have bought it instead of that fancy Apple Watch 10 you bought
I believe the money goes to a sea charity, so its not only for a good cause, its also good publicity for whoever bought it :)
Yes, this is true, the money goes to good things. Most of the money goes to the Sea Rescue Society.

Not a lobsterphobic here, but I don't like them, they seem like marine cockroaches, at least their appearance

You need to come with me for lunch and have raw oysters.... that is the best food on the planet.

I would If I hadn’t already turned full on vegetarian :D

I heard that cows are India’s national treasure.??

Yes they are. You can even attend Cow Urine Therapy centres.

I don’t live in India but I tried Cow Urine when I visited a hare krishna temple here. It wasn’t bad. Very light tranluscent colour like a lime cordial, refreshing if drunk chilled and I wasn’t expecting anything to happen but I felt strangely invigorated actually. The cows there were well looked after and only given fresh grass and hay to eat though.

It´s only the first auctioned lobster that cost this much, otherwise the cost about $60 per kg here.
yeah they are expensive but they are good

The offer for lunch on me is open to you as well, @xReminisce.

The place we go to has super service, great food and a bloody mary that will change your life.

I really love the taste of it, but a few years ago, i went to a restaurant with my girlfriend at the time and found out that they are usually cooked alive (atleast in my country)... never ate lobster again.

P.S: i will never forget the sound of them shrieking from the kitchen of that restaurant.... horrible , just horrible

They are almost always cooked alive, boiled actually.

Some folks just cut them down the middle to kill them but, like any meat we eat has to die one way or the other.

You can get killed if you try to eat that here in India lol.

Its insane.

Though I am going to try it by visiting Kerala where it is allowed I think.
Not in West Bengal though. We have lots of beef here. If you ever come to Kolkata, try out Beef stake with sunny side up at olly pub. ;)

On topic, I never had lobster myself but it kinda looks delicious. I would definitely try it if someone offered me some for lunch, but not for $5k lol.

If you ever come to Florida, I'll buy some fresh lobster and cook it for you.

I know how to cook it as I was raised on the water.

And when I go to Kolkata I want you to take me to the street food vendors... I'll buy.
