I'm writing an article on Black Hat SEO and was wondering if anyone knew of any techniques not included in the list below.

Is anything missing?

Keyword stuffing, invisible text, doorway pages, link spamming (link farms), blog spamming, cloaking

Missing?!? Umm... Where do I start...

That list looks like it's copied from some Google/Matt Cutts BS; it's plain dis-information...

If you're doing some serious research then there's volumes more to it than that. If you're just writing another 'article' for your own promotion then who the hell cares what you include?!

But please... This is a forum dedicated to world-wide discussion of thousands of IM techniques; and you want someone to condense it into a 'sound-bite' of high-level concepts?!

That's not what Black Hat SEO is revolved around. It's bullshit spread by those "White hat" people to make us look bad just because we rank faster and better than them.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This

When it boils down to it "White Hat" SEO is 100% the same as Black Hat SEO...just done a lot less cost effectively and a lot slower.
I'm talking SEO only here. spoofing, fraud, trojan stuffing...that isn't SEO at all. It might be black hat but it's nothing to do with "search engine optimizing"

White Hat create links, form relationships, propagates, syndicates and broadcasts content..for links and click through...just the same as Black Hat
There is no extra "altruistic" reason they do it that separates them from "Black Hat" WH SEO is done PURELY to enhance their website, business, cash flow.

Calling a link a "relationship" doesn't make a jot of difference. In fact "link exchanges" that these dim witted tossers engage in - essp when done by major sites, is only half a step away from cartel forming, monopoly creating and anti trust/anti competitive behaviour. And Google HATES link exchanges.

SEOMOZ tactics are like real SEO...on mogadon - coated with a thick sickly layer of mis-placed self delusion and self righteousness and charged at 5X the rate of decent SEO for 1/5th of the monthly positive progress.

The guy that heads up MOZ spends 90% of his time posing with his 1980's style George Michael designer stubble - looking like a a real poseur - while taking $300 a month for a product that is little more than a serp tracker and link analyser glued together...badly. Put SERBUDDY with MajesticSEO together yourself - and save yourself 75% of the cost - for a better overall product.

Google discourages ALL SEO. "White Hat", "Black Hat", "Shit-In-A-Hat". To have one branch claiming they are "doing what Google wants" when Google has clearly stated many times for more than a decade that they don't want any of it - is a festering crock of shit.

Black Hat SEO is honest about it's intentions
White Hat SEO has EXACTLY THE SAME intentions, and despite lacking automation uses EXACTLY THE SAME METHODS. They just like to pretend they are "ethical".

Still old "stubble face" must be raking it in. Just shows how many mugs there are out there.

Paid links, unnatural backlinks,Hidden text,IP delivery,301 redirects,Automatically generated keyword pages,Mispsellings.Black hat seo is give very quick result but they are not long term.so you should change it,one by one.

Damn Scritty - you hit the nail on the head. One of the best & clearly distilled summaries I have read on the "difference" between the two concepts.

Great explaination!!!
