i bet 9/10 of the time, the person buying the shoutouts feels cheated.
I shout out one of my newer pages daily (150k page growing a small page). It took about 30 "shoutouts" and 10+ stories to get it up to 3000 followers
so, imagine paying the prices that the people here are offering. The person buying the shoutout doesn't know better. They most likely will feel hustled after they get the shoutout
a lot of people would rather just hustle 1 person and enjoy the profits, rather than building business relationships with multiple people
but maybe some BUYERS can share their experiences?

Kinda old but I don't want people mislead.
Shoutouts work amazing, you just need to learn how to create content that works for the certain page and also find a legit page which is not easy.
I've gotten 100s of email info from shoutouts that make me a good amount of profit.
good stuff - i mean the content in the post is still relevant today
top search in google when you type in BlackHat Shoutout.

Price seems a bit low to me.
You can ask your competitors about their charges (using a different account of course).

women fashion have more sells as compare to other niches... if u want to earn good money.. then make page related to womenMemes pages have less promotion fee as far as i know. If it was women fashion or something it would have 3x atleast. But you know we don't have much idea about girls fashion nd all
how much are the people who shop with y'all gaining? If they are paying $20 and getting like 100 followers, they are getting ripped off. Instagram will probably show posts to 5% of those 100 followers. If y'all are cool with getting the upperhand like that, keep doing your thing.
When I do this stuff, I started with a rate that people call reasonable, but I realized that the people ordering shoutouts aren't even gaining a considerable amount - and they definitely felt hustled.

I switched the whole business model to - you pay $20, I'll shout you out in stories and news feed until you hit 1k followers.
People have been repeating, i'm happy with it, they are happy, and i've got referrals. We agree on the type of content that they'll be 'featured' in so my engagement stays high, and they get followers.
i think some of y'all need to stop thinking about the fastest money grab, and think about the people who are paying you. Think about their goal, and what they would like to see when they shop with you, and most importantly, if they would repeat / refer you.
i dont know, maybe people are gaining 500+ followers from the one 24 hours news feed post for $50? I highly doubt that though.

If you have a page with 50k followers and you have 2 % average engagement per post then you can charge $0.005 X 50K followers = $250 to $300.
If you have 1.5 % average engagement per post then you can charge $0.003 X 50K = $150 to $200
If you have 1.5 % average engagement per post then you can charge $0.003 X 50K = $150 to $200
