    Hey guys,

Just something I've been thinking about for the past few weeks.

What's your motivation for learning/executing internet marketing? Money, freedom from the 9-5, something else?

Personally -- I love this stuff. I could consume marketing content all day -- Dan Kennedy, Jay Abraham, Gary Halbert-type stuff.

There's something about the psychological factors that go into business that just really interests me. It always amazed me that a sales letter (whether that's a piece of direct mail, a sales letter on a website, or even a 30-second commercial)... could compel someone to pull out their wallet and purchase a product that they didn't know they wanted a minute earlier.

Do any of you guys share the same interest in the driving factors behind persuasion/sales/choices? Or are you driven by something else?

Personally, I do it for the money and time. If I can spend a couple of hours of working and make good money then I can enjoy the rest of my day on the beach :)

    Haha same here bro.

Anyone keep something similar to this?

I went crazy for a while and tried to collect as much marketing info as I could find.

I still have like 95% to get through, so many books...

It's medium. I like how easy you can get money but it's not like the dream of my life.
It has some nice aspects though, like working on a new project is some kind of work I like to do and I usually don't like working that much.

I'd definitely say it's the freedom and potential for growth that I enjoy. Sure, there can be a ton of stress at times, but it's definitely worth it to me. Who wants to stress over a 9-5 and a minimum wage salary?

Although I love SEO and marketing, I prefer make money and fish, than spend the entire day marketing online.

I hate working from 9 to 5. I like to work when I want, so sometimes I work Saturday and Sunday or lately in the night hours.

I mostly enjoy it since I was a no one year ago, no income, no college, not a lot of friends... Now, everything changed. I'm working, making my own money, helping out, paying the bills and it feels damn good. The best thing is freedom. Working on what you want, when you want. Good stuff :D

Of course it's a good way to make money, but at the same time it's really interesting. Internet marketing is really very dynamic, so every time you have to be aware of what is new in this industry

Got to get alienware+superbike+supercar to impress my girl. There are two ways -

    1. IM
    2. Rob a bank.

Now that's the motivation! I am going to rob the IM bank.

Assuming you meant "in" the folder. I love Kennedy, personally Jay Abraham is my #1, but I do love Dan's practical applications versus just pure strategy.

    :)

Anything from his marketing courses that he sells, to saved sales letters for his products (or other people's products, which he did the copywriting for), interviews/videos/newsletters, to copies of his products you can't even buy (like things he gave out at confrences as bonuses, etc.)

It's a bit over the top... but in some ways, there's more to learn from the marketing of his products than the material he's selling.

Kinda like how copywriters say the best way to learn copywriting is to write out old salesletters by hand (like pen and paper) because it forces you to psychologically break down the thought-process of the copy.

This is what I DON'T do...

Information overload is bad. I like to keep a fresh mind. Keep the ebook crap to a minimum. Just do ONE thing and do it fucking good.
