I can understand the reason behind the question. A lot of people don't realize the opportunity internet marketing provides.
When I first started internet marketing I would ask people how much money they make, not to be nosy, but as a beginner I didn't know what was average or what was considered a lot. It was also comforting to see the few individuals who were making a killing in internet marketing because it gave me reassurance in knowing that the sky really is the limit.
Anyway, to answer your question OP, there are a lot of different types of interent marketing, including: Email marketing, PPC, SEO, Affiliate marketing, etc.
I've been internet marketing for a very long time, and have been fortunate enough to dip my hand in various different types of internet marketing where I would make contacts with other internet marketers specializing in that particular branch of IM (some of them extremely successful). Anyway, below is the absolute maximum's I've personally seen OTHER PEOPLE make via internet marketing.
Email marketing - $300,000 in one day - This was the launch of a product and it tapered down after that. This was the type of project that took a year of planning.
PPC - $6,000 per day - This is not including advertising costs.
Affiliate Marketing - $100,000 per month. Not bad for having people sell your product for you.
Website phone leads - $500,000/month.
Again, these are not my earnings. Instead they are the maximum earnings I've ever seen from someone I've been in contact with/done ventures with/etc. And yes, these are legit numbers (if anything, I rounded down) and I know the first and last name of each individual that achieved these unbelievable figures.
