How much do you charge your clients?

Hi everyone,

Got a local business (restaurant) PPC campaigns this week but as this is my first big fish, I don't know how much should I charge for this client?
Our main channels will be AdWords and FB Ads
 
It can be hard to determine, but obviously the cost of running the ads needs to be considered

Some people I know provide the same service as others for double the price and still maintain an abundance of clients
 
So let's say, when considering that this is a restaurant, should I charge based on the profit that I generated?
 
Simple, need to be charging at LEAST 10% - 15% of their ad spend depending on budget (lower only if they have a HUGE ad spend budget, like six figures a year)... with a reasonable minimum, I'd say at least $300/month in the case of small businesses to make sure they don't turn down the budget too low. A percentage based cut is fairly common and what I've done typically. It lets them know I'm encouraged to grow.

It all depends on the client's requirements like what is his budget, How long he wants to run the ad.
 
Post a job on a freelancing site with the same description of your client, check how much agencies ask you for the work, you will get the idea.

Best advice ever. Specially for someone starting. Then you will see that those agencies most of the time do shit, so you start to think on rising your prices (unless you have also managed to do the same shit)
 
How did you land a client without pricing them? they didnt ask cost?
Anyway ive seen a lot of people offer to do ads for me they all charge the same $2500/month.
If you are confident in your skills dont undersell, youre valuable act like it, if you HAVE to go down in rate, then it needs to come off like youre doing them a favor, not that they are dictating terms.
Also, if i were asked to come down in rate, i would counter that I am happy to defer the upfront rate cost by adding in a % based on top of the lower fee, and say I will do so bc I am confident of the results, and bc I am worth it.

Example you say $2k.
They counter 1k.
You say "listen ill do 1k as a down payment and then I want 10% revenue I generate. But dont complain if I over deliver and you get 30k of revenue off of this"
 
Well its a trick. you have to judge the purchasing power of client. And than just pitch the rates. You need to be flexible.
