How on earth can you quote a client without knowing the keyword strength, competition, their ROI and how much on page SEO is needed?

I charge $1000-$5000 depending on the niche, competition, and on site optimization needed.
That usually covers 5-10 keywords. You must know how to do your research though or you will do a lot of work for nothing if you take the wrong route with linkbuilding and your customers won't see results then you get canned.
If you are not confident in your abilities stick with affiliate and cpa networks to make money with.

it really depends on the site and what the company does.
say if its a local landscaper I might charge 200 to 400
now if its a public traded company that deals all over the world that would be 5 to 10k a month
