How much do quality backlinks cost?

A friend of mine once paid $200 for backlinks. He got them, under 1k, but all very low quality. How much of a budget should I expect when I'm referring someone? And how do you know it won't be a scam?

You can know it's a scam by doing your background checks on who you are getting links from. It depends on what metrics blogs you are looking to get backlinks from. Prices varies, so you would have to setup your budget. If you going for quality links I'd set budget at $500 minimum.

But honestly, it depends on many things because quality can mean a lot of things. It can mean any, or all of these:

- authority of the page that gives the backlink
- number of OBLs on that page, as well as where your backlink is placed (I think - but I'm not sure - that the first OBLs placed on a page get the most link juice)
- quality of the site providing the link
- type of link (d0follow links cost more than nofollow ones)
- placement of the link (in-content links are worth way more than sidebar / footer links for example)
- depth of the page giving you the link (links placed on pages that are within 2 clicks maximum from the homepage tend to have higher value, therefore sellers might charge more for these links)
- traffic of the page giving the backlink (if the page gets organic traffic you can obviously expect to pay more)
- type of payment (rented links cost less than permanent links because you'll pay more for them in the long run)

GSA you can buy lists with heigh backlinks aswell.

All depends what the Compitition got to keep on top.
 
You can get regular but good ones starting from $50. Backlinks from good metrics domains can cost $100-$200 and from websites that are huge and have hundred thousand Plus traffic can easily charge up to $500+.
 
I have seen a website that has 2.6k backlinks from 1.8k referral domains. But their authority score is only 3. While another website's authority score is 13, and their referral domain is only 8. So I think you understand the importance of quality backlinks. If you want a backlink from a high DA, PA website, it may cost around $200 for one backlink. That's how it works.

It will not be scam because people doing blogging are just normal people like you and me. So trust them and go ahead.
 
You should never spend less than $500 on a single backlink. The average top-quality backlink from an exclusive, high DR, high traffic, high authority domain will cost you $1000.
 
The minimum $250 Per link with good metrics, Traffic, low spam score, and good referring domains also niche-based its worth to pay for it
 
That depends on the domain metrics, OBL, RDs, traffic.

Is it d0follow or not, it is a contextual backlink or not?

if you are getting the niche edits links, how much traffic is the page getting?
 
Depends on the Link type and traffic , OBL , age and Many more factors , try using moz or ahrefs for seeing the traffic and other details to determine the costing tho .
 
Quality backlinks will cost from $100 to $250, depending on the budget and requirements. Many factors can influence this.
 
Probably $300 and higher

  • Do your utmost to ensure you're buying from a reputable source who has as much to lose as you do if they do not deliver. Be careful with those who promise quick results or guarantee stuff to happen.
  • When looking at backlinks, consider DA of the site you're going for.
  • Make sure the backlinks you're going to get are there to stay. A lot of them get deleted over time.
Prices vary greatly based on the way those backlinks are acquired. Legitimate ones may cost thousands. Those based on quality articles of your own may not cost anything but require hard work (e.g. HARO or reaching out to people in similar niches to yours).
