How much do Paypal look at users' details from other systems?

Right well, I used to have a regular Paypal account, which was connected to my account on iOffer. But I was using iOffer to sell a few bootleg DVDs (of kids series from the 80s and 90s), and because my iOffer was linked directly to my Paypal account, everytime an iOffer member paid directly through the iOffer/Paypal checkout system, Paypal could see exactly what I was selling. Unsurprisingly, Paypal eventually put a permanent limitation on my account.

Rather surprisingly though, they took 5 years to do so. Huh, I guess they liked getting all those transaction fees from dodgy sales. Nevermind.

Anyway, so now I have a new Paypal account. I registered under a fake name, with a non-existent postal address, and it's fine. I can fund Paypal transactions with my new VCC, and I'm still selling on iOffer too - but I didn't link this account, instead I send out an email to each buyer asking them to go to Paypal and send the money privately (with no messages attached so as not to tip off Paypal). I don't make much money, but then I never really did anyway.

A couple of things have turned up though:

    1) I can no longer make purchases on eBay. Because when I try to go through eBay checkout, it says that it can't connect to my Paypal account. Big surprise there, I didn't connect my new fake Paypal account to eBay either... the item listings show several payment methods are allowed, but when you go to checkout, it only allows Paypal to be used. This is the same bull that eBay has been pulling for several years now, forcing all their users to use Paypal while still supposedly letting other payment methods be listed (but you can't actually use them). My eBay account is still the same one, registered under my real name and with my real postal address for receiving items I buy through it.

    2) Just occasionally, I actually have a little spare money in my Paypal account, that I'd like to be able to withdraw to a bank account. But my only current account ('cos they don't allow savings accounts) was connected to my old now-banned Paypal account. I could open a new bank account, but I'm not sure if that would work either.

My questions about these incidents are then as follows:

    A) If I connect my new Paypal account to my eBay account, will they see my REAL name and postal address and promptly shut down my Paypal account again? 'Cos if they would, then that means that I can never connect any Paypal account to my eBay account, and so I'll also never be able to use eBay again. If they don't look at the address on eBay's file though, that would be fine right?

    B) If I opened a new bank account under my real name at my local bank, and connected it to my Paypal account, would they see my REAL name on the bank account and promptly shut down my Paypal account again? If they don't look at the account name, only the account number, I'd be okay....I think.

    C) If a real bank account under my real name wouldn't work, what about a virtual bank account under a fake name? How do those work anyway? I've heard of Payoneer, but I believe that Paypal no longer allows withdrawals to Payoneer accounts anyway.

    D) The VCC that I use with my stealth Paypal account is an Entropay card. Is there any way for me to withdraw funds from Paypal to my Entropay card? Entropay say that they allow this , but I can't see how to do it without a sortcode and account#...I don't want to start asking Paypal a lot of questions in case they get suspicious of me.

    Bump, anybody?

I'd really like to know if I'd be safe opening a new bank account under my real name, to attach to my new Paypal account. If it wouldn't be safe, I'll have to look into setting up a VBA instead...

(Also it'd be great if I could connect it back to my eBay profile again too, but again I'm worried if they will check the names on my accounts at other websites/institutions...)

Adding a new bank acc to your new paypal account shouldn't have any problems. Just make sure your bank allows mismatch names when withdrawing. Also, how did you create your paypal account? If you used the same browser, ip's, cookies, your new paypal will eventually become linked to your old paypal. Also, what country do you live in?

I would've thought that they would link my new Paypal to my old one, but I've been quite happily using it for the last 6 months and nothing yet, it's not like I started it yesterday.

I live in the UK. Actually, looking at my Paypal account, I even registered under my real address (though a fake name), as the VCC I've gotten myself would only work with Paypal if they had matching postal addresses (and the VCC required my real address to work); oddly, they have mismatched names (the VCC is under my real name, Paypal obviously isn't) but that doesn't seem to have any effect. So I'm not sure, if I get a new bank account and have it under my real name and address, it would seem like that would be fine too?

When I created the new Paypal account, I did first clear my cookies/internet history, and I updated my browser fairly recently. But I have a fixed IP address and I'm not tech-savvy enough to know how to fiddle with that, so I just worked with it as it was.
