When you start earning an amount which is kinda more than enough for you, it's time for you to take retirement...

It depends on what lifestyle you want when you retire.
The younger you are when you start planning for your retirement the better.
Take professional advice form more than one source and decide what is the best plan for you.
A pension plan may or may not be the way to go, look at all options.

I'd say it depends a lot on where you live, for example where I live, 800-900€/month would be enough to live top class life. How I see it is the following. When I earn 10-12k€/month, I just bought myself 1 year of comfortable life if things go bad. But my goal is to retire by the time I turn 24 (18 right now) and I wanna do it by renting 3-4 apartments in capital which will cost me cca 350-450k€, means I have to keep up my current earnings for 4 years and I'm retired, if all goes good, by the time I turn 22
