Does the ability to keep people reading and engaged in the copy posted on your blogs affect your rankings?

Does the ability to keep them on the page longer reading help?

How much of a roll do you think these things play in ranking?

of course

role, not roll :)

How much of a role they play is up to google and it largely depends on your competition. If both and your competition are doing things right from an SEO perspective (in other words, all things being equal) google will have to choose who ranks where based on the feedback google gets from your visitors, and this is where great righting skills come into play and why they're important.

But the copywriting skills are only part of the whole user experience, the site / page layout, how well you address the intent of the keywords, etc all matter in keeping the readers engaged and entertaining and having a low bounce rate. But yeah, I don't think you can quantify the copyrighting skills with regards to rankings because they're only one piece of the puzzle

  1. Yes. Nowadays, direct traffic (the number of people who go directly to your site), bounce rate (how many people leave or go to other pages), and how much time people stay on your site are important ranking factors.
  2. Yes. You can do that by creating deep content that gives people more to read (that doesn’t mean creating long articles without any valuable information). The sweet spot is somewhere between 1500-2000 words.
  3. As I’ve mentioned in #1, engaging content is extremely important. But so are backlinks and keyword targeting. Combining all of these strategies should help your ranking in the long run.

İt very much does, readers attract viewers, clicks attract google, google brings position, position brings more clicks.
