How much do aged domains flip for?

Well, I registered a bunch of domains last year and they all expired. I have 2 weeks to renew them, not sure if its worth it. The domains aren't jibberish, they are either phrases or mnemonics & .com/.org.

Is it worth it for me to renew them? I will not use them for anything but testing out scripts and possibly flipping them. They are 1 year old right now

Domains generally dont go for much , You would be better of making a site , add a few articles and get it ranking.. That way you can get some revenue and traffic then flip it later down the line :)
 
Normally domains sells by age , backlinks and keywords in domains .
If your domain has some good backlinks and PR then you can get a good amount of bucks
If a short LLL / LLLL domains then even higher and so on

Also, if I just built WordPress onto it or a simple site and did minimal SEO to rank it a bit (with no revenue), would it sell? Again, I am just wondering if it is worth it to renew a domain. The domains are 12 months old right now

Building a simple site (change from the default WP theme, do some basic SEO, schedule some content - back-dated and posting periodically in the future) - that would increase the potential value at least a bit. Not saying you're going to get big dollars, but doing those basic steps would at least increase the potential value. I'd put some ads or something on them while you're at it if I were you.
 
But the real question is, should I renew the domains or should I just let them go. I feel that if I let them go it would be a waste of like $13/each, but I'm not too sure that I want to spend a lot of time ranking it.

Haha I've been in the same spot as You for the last 3 months now. Had a total of about 15 domains that have been expiring one by one for a while now. Just let em go, you will never do anything with them anyway (SAD BUT TRUE /CRY).
 
Dump them. They're not worth anything unless its a highly sought emd like freeiphone or something. If you don't plan to build them out then don't waste anymore time on them.

I can't answer that for you about whether to keep them or not, but if you have about two weeks left and are looking at around $13 per name, you could save yourself 4-6 dollars per name by transferring them to another registrar (the transfer costs are lower than 13 per, and you get a one-year renewal as part of the transfer).

internetbs current prices:
.com xfer: 8.49
.org xfer: 8.85

godaddy current prices:
.com xfer: 7.99
.org xfer: 7.49

namecheap current prices depend on how good a discount code you can find (goog it, some people are saying one of their codes still gets you up to 10 xfers @ 4.99 each) but @ most you'll be around $9 without a code.

there are others, $13 a year for a name is stupid.
