How much did you make in 2012?

What is the point of this thread? As far as I can see only one person has contributed something of value.... if you wanted to start a finger in the air thread about supposed income without any helpful advice it's better to start this thread on the WF no?

IM has changed significantly this year and the only long term strategy is to build websites of value, something useful and unique to visitors. The good news is that all niches can be improved upon so the scope of potential incomes is still as diverse as ever.

First time since 2002 that I made less than 200k. 2012 sucked big time.

I think some people feel that asking how much one made is an invasive question. Personally, I feel that it's a private matter.
 
I wonder if the fiscal cliff will affect other countries...if anyone outside of the USA can answer, please let me know. I realize the Euro has suffered tremendously over the past couple of years.

Likely to have a knock-on effect, but some countries like Singapore, with a robust internal demand, may weather it better than others. If we head into another recession, there will be a lot of people who are looking for answers/help online...there should be plenty of opportunities to help people like this, or to find a large labour pool of very qualified folks with good english skills and solid expertise, who can write articles and make videos for your site.

Back to the original topic, well done guys, some of you have had a tremendously successful year! That inspires people like me, now that we see just what is possible. As a follow-up, are you guys running an seo firm, doing affiliate sales, flipping, etc? As for me, it is obvious what I am selling, but I've also been doing some seo work for a number of people.

Tip for success (nothing secret): make a website on a topic you love, write great unique content, be patient, never give up.

That is quite a lot of earning! Hope I can reach this next year! And yes tips for success is easy to get but not easy to insist everyday!

It has been a touch year for me ! Made about $2k this year, wasted so much time and did not find the right direction yet, although i has been in IM industry for nearly two year. Wish your guys a happy holiday and a better new year.

Would have been more but a couple of my sites got hit quite bad.
 
Just under 150K before tax, after expenses. This is the worse year i've had in a while. 2011 I almost clear 400K after taxes
