Being a newbie to this and all I have been writing somewhere around 30 blog posts a day because I have a lot to cover in a short period of time. Does this hurt me in seo? How many 500-750 word posts are too much? Always 100% my content btw.

Not sure about a new site, but I see medium size sites run that many articles everyday and they seem to rank great. Would probably be fine as long as it stays somewhat consistent and not 100 aticles one day then 0 the next.

cheers I have been up for one week and already have 200 posts, I am always within my niche, but I think now the focus should be back links, guest posts etc.

It should be okay if you are within the niche...but seriously, do you write 30 posts of 500-750 words all by yourself? or did I get it wrong?

Don't worry nothing wrong... You are posting unique and quality contents that's what matters...

But you also need to make backlinks and in that don't go overboard... Build slowly... Also don't post all articles on your site... Use ezine, goarticles, articlebase, buzzle, isnare.... kinda article directory... It will not only bring you some good links but also some visitors... Also write press release every week....

Use web 2.0 and make link wheel using your unique content, join those spokes and you will have very good ranking soon...

too much? it's not exist.. if you write 500 post hourly it's not too much...the most important thing is you do it every day... for example if you post 30 article today and no more in this week it's useless.. your 30 articles never be indexed... but if you post 30 article today and 30 more every single day.. it's will be better

All you need to keep in mind that whatever you posting should be unique. It should not be like that you write 10 blog posts in one day then relax for 2-3 days then post some 3-4...then relax then again 15-16 at once...All i want to say just use your scheduling function and keep all posts at a steady pace. That matters a lot. Keep writing and do make backlinks of it.

30 blog post per day??? amazing man

by the way it really does not hurt SEO in any way as long as you are not copying ans pasting from other website. If you are writing of your own... even 100 post is fine a day.. irrespective of whether your domain is one day old or one year..

some 3 months back, in one of my new website I used to post 200-250 post a day (though not original) it was copy and software spun.. but in 10 days of time, my daily unique visitor counted to ~10000+

    So dont worry on this...

200 word to 1000 words is the sweet spot... Google loves things that look like news articles... I launched 300K pages of content in a single day... that was too much... I should have rolled it out at a clip of 1000pages a day over the course of a year... but 20/20 hindsight and all.

as regarding SEO or Google lookout, 30 blog posts in a day irrespective of word count doesn't matter as long as they are unique. but take care that 30 blog posts are optimized for 30 different key phrases. if the keyword density increases for a particular keyphrase beyond 8%, then you're in the risk zone of Google Sandboxing.

to newkid: Well, I'm a girl, but thanks.

to everyone... Yeah I sometimes work through the night sometimes and can write around 15-25 quality original posts, at minimum 400 words and never less than 300... ever.

But other days I chill, thinking oh well I posted xxx amount the last day etc.

I hate giving away my articles, so I have not posted to even one directory... I always feel like giving away my best content would be foolish...

I am not a... 'keyword writer' I write about the topic and try to make sure its useful. I already have number two on Google for a keyword phrase, but that is only because its not getting much play elsewhere.

I should google sandboxing, because I have no idea what you are talking about. Can I get sandboxed by writing in my niche a lot? I try to get my blogging done in three days, and then concentrate on selling some to text broker... now I see I might be doing more harm than good.

I am averaging around 25-50 unique visitors per day which I think is pretty good (but no one every comments :() and wrote my first guest post only yesterday.

So maybe writing 2-3 posts EVERYDAY would be better?

I did this by making a list of subjects I wanted to cover, jotting down titles, and having a goal of completing xxx amount of articles in a short period of time.

So, now I know I am hurting my site by posting to much, am I to late? Can I start just posting 2-3 now, without the Google hammer?

    and what is 2.0?

    *Angela

Oh! Press Release evey week? I know someone told me to do a P r web one, but why every week? and where? this wouldn't be considered black hat?

If you have a good number of competition in your niche.. isn't content king? Why not post it all on my website?

to newkid; 10000+ visitors? Are you serious? wow! but it would be impossible for me to write that many, i was already running dead tired writing the 25-30... I felt like I was in some kind of computer sweat shop, I even started dreaming about it.

Another question though for you all. With in the topics that I cover.. the big guys in my niche have around 1500 (at most) blog posts, countless back links and visitors... and they all cover the same topics.

If I can write 2000 posts posts, is it possible to me to outrank them with out 2-5 years of back links and posts?

Press release let people and search engine know about your site and it's good source of instant traffic and recognition... No it will not be black hat if you do weekly press release but don't use same content every week... :)

There are lots of sites from free to paid ones... Official wire is paid one, you can use them... They got good name in press release... Press release is also good option for making links... Content is king but king can't rule his kingdom alone :) You need support of army and that's where back links come... You need to make back links otherwise you are not gonna rank for your keyword...

Major Article directories are used for scraping of content, lots of people publish articles from those directories on their own site and thus giving you free backlinks... We need backlinks to rank and that's why we post our content on other site also...

No as i wrote only content will not guarantee your ranking... You need backlinks also and usual optimization of your pages but yes you don't need to wait for several years to reach where your competitor is today... You can beat this site with smart work...

Another question, sorry.. Should I write a press release per pr site? (one to pr web, on for prlog, etc)? Or just will just one do?
