For those of you making money from Amazon affiliate + seo. How much do you make. I'm not sure If it would be profitable to go for a 4000 ms search term Avg product price 100

Conversion rates at Amazon are about 3-5% I'd say. Let's assume your site itself has a great CTR to Amazon of 20%. Let's further assume, you are getting 4000 visitors to your site (50% of the 4k for the main term at #1, another 2k for variations, synonyms, long tail) . 20% of 4000 visitors is 800 clicks to Amazon. Translates to 40 sales at 5% conversion rate. So, if you are really lucky, the best case scenario is $240 a month with a bunch of #1 rankings.

That's best case, my educated guess would be more like $100-150 (top 3 rankings instead of #1 all over the place, many people not buying the advertised product itself).

Lower down on page 1, it would shrink to barely $50 fast.
