I don't have any experience in creating mobile games. But I have idea of simple but very competitive and skill based mobile game (Its not really my idea, that type of game was very popular like 10 years ago on pc). But I believe this game with proper ranking system and good advertising can have great success.

What you think, if I look for programmer , how much it would cost me to create pretty simple online mobile game ? And is there any chance to make profit from mobile game ?

Creating a mobile game with a ranking system and proper advertising can vary widely in cost depending on several factors:
- Game Complexity: Simple games can cost anywhere from $5,000 to $20,000, while more complex games might range from $20,000 to $100,000 or more.
- Development Team: Hiring a freelance programmer might cost $30 to $150 per hour. Alternatively, a game development studio could offer a package deal.
- Design and Art: Budgeting for graphics, sound, and user interface design is crucial and can add another $5,000 to $50,000.
- Marketing and Advertising: Depending on the scale, marketing can range from $1,000 to several thousand dollars per month, especially if using social media or in-app advertising.
- Maintenance and Updates: Ongoing costs for updates, bug fixes, and community engagement can also add to the overall budget.

It’s best to outline specific game features and create a detailed project plan to get accurate quotes.
You should think of referral program or affiliate instead to increase your chances to grow.
It's always good to have a few game/product testers who might be your friends or fellows from forums/games to assist you with game glitches and stuff like that.
If you have any programming and some technical skills to get at least 70% job done by your own, the cost might be less than 5K.
But, hey smells like a good idea you have, so keep up the work, cuz you got this!
Just keep yourself from scams and cyber attacks. If you are new to this, I recommend you to not trust everyone "doing the code" and sometimes less money invested are more harmful than more expensive investment.

Except above recommendations I would also make you think about these that might be in help of your project idea:

1. Game Incubators/Accelerators:
- GameFounders: Offers mentorship and investment for early-stage game developers.
- Forward Game Labs: Focuses on nurturing innovative game ideas and teams.

2. Venture Capital Firms:
- Galaxy Interactive: Invests in interactive media, including games.
- Bitkraft Ventures: Specializes in esports and gaming investments.

3. Crowdfunding Platforms
:
- Kickstarter: Many successful games have been funded through community support.
- Indiegogo: Another platform for raising funds directly from potential players.

4. Publisher Partnerships:
- Some game publishers (like Devolver Digital or Team17) look for unique projects to invest in or partner with.

5. Grants and Competitions:
- Various organizations and festivals offer grants for innovative game ideas, like the IGF (Independent Games Festival).
Networking in the gaming community and attending industry events can also help connect with potential investors.

If you need anything else that you think it might help, I will be happy to assist!

The cost to create a mobile game varies, but a simple one can range from $5,000 to $20,000. Hiring a skilled programmer and investing in good marketing can definitely help you succeed.

Learn how to program in Godot, its the easiest engine to get to grips with as an open source equievelant to blender. You can easily import any asset, and the system for adding behaviors and new actions is really easy. Checkout some tutorials on it. There is a handy tutorial that has every action inside godot listed. Once you know them all, you can think about your boundaries and how you can achieve the game. There might even be an open source equivalent on GitHub all ready for you to get inspiration from.

it could cost a lot depending in the type of game, assests, development time if you are paying a developer, marketing all depends if you want to have a game with good graphics or maybe content or mode or type of game, something that can be interesting for the people, pixel games being doing really good but history and quality must be good if is a pixel game and replayability

Well it depends on the features and the sample of the game.

With a competent programmer, just prepare anything from $2.5k-$5k.

I want to put my new card game on a app based off a 52 card deck with some extras to include in the game from the normal variant of poker. As a skill based game it would be allowed and the patent protects for 20 years, I read that I need to manufacture custom decks for the game. I would like a platform that could change credit charges to credits for people to play with free credits given daily. Maybe even change Crypto for credits too.

I have 3 pages of rules for this new card game with a plan to acquire 1000 units soon after I get some things in a row. I have heard estimates ranging from low to high $250,000 for a project depending on number of features, less for foreign developers. I was wondering too about licensing with casinos, as I am not well networked in this industry.. I also have 10 other game concepts from WAR, Bingo to new Craps game ideas, without the rules fleshed out yet. I have played games like these since 8 and know most the game from baccarat to roulette and the odds on many.

-GPT option (as helper)
-Buy existing app and hire dev
-Foreign Developer (Save, but with caveats)
-DIY with No Code App builder or software (I have AppmySite, sure there is others..)

Question: What is the modern games built on, if not flash? Personally I like whatever they built Pokerist/Blackjackist on.

Hi!
1) Developing a game for different Apple and Android systems costs differently. And you will need to develop for two operating systems at once
2) What seems simple to you at the initial stage will become much more expensive in terms of implementation as you still want to monetize it so you will have to implement various store features to sell skins, game coins, etc.
3) Also you will need to calculate the capacity of servers if you plan to make an online game.
In general, that would be what to count need to send a clear Terms of Reference and then will understand the approximate initial cost and possible fixed costs for you

it varies and could depend on the the type of game you want to create. The cost varies from even a little amount to millions, it would cost $25 to register on google play and you can get couple things to go on with.

It depends on the complexity, but for a simple, skill-based mobile game, you’re probably looking at $5k to $20k if you hire a freelance developer or a small studio. Adding features like a ranking system or multiplayer might increase costs. Mobile games can definitely be profitable, especially if you use in-app purchases or ads. The key is good marketing and a strong user retention strategy.

Somewhere between 2k to 10k usd i think
