Hello, I have an AMD RX 5700 bought back in 2019 for gaming purpose (was recently released at that time). I never entered into the mining world before. But of course I heard about people discussing about mining here and there.

About an hour ago after watching a youtube video I wanted to try and was and I'm still impressed to see this:

And I have some questions:
1) How reliable is the prediction? can I really make $450 a month without doing anything with just my gaming setup?
2) Why is it that if I enable cpu usage the estimated revenue is halved?
3) Do my video card run the risk of burning out by using only the video card for mining? I've read people complaining in the past. How long do they usually burn out after? Does it make sense to mine for a month so that you have the funds to buy a video card for mining in a dedicated PC or is it too risky?

thanks

GPUs get rekt by mining BTC, and people don't usually do this anymore (they haven't done home mining for years now) - mining setups are dedicated GPUs that are tailor made for mining crypto

Not sure how gpu's get rekt by mining. I have a 6 gpu (XFX RX580s) running in my home. I built it during the bull run of 2017. They are the same gpus people use for gaming. Still running strong 3-4 years later. The only thing I've done is replace 1 set of fans on 1 of the gpu's.

People have been saying mining isn't worth it since 2017 and I'm not sure why. It cost a little under $3000 to build this 6 gpu rig out and has made me many times more than that.

Edit: Ethereum mining, not BTC
