How much are you making on IG?

I am growing an account to 50k (currently at 15k, all organic) before I monetize, and I wanted to get some motivation from people that have been successful with IG.

How much are you making a month, and what follower size do you have?
I know that it depends on the niche, but I am not looking for that since I got my own plans to monetize.

Do you do shoutouts or sell products/services?

It can vary a lot, indeed.

First of all, there's the Instagram monetization itself (shoutouts or any process/service you can sell to another), which will usually be advertisting if it's directly on your page. Expect a few hundred thousand of followers with an organic number of interactions, in order to start making a good amount of money, what you can find online doesn't often show the reality check for nowadays in 2023.

Second, there's the funnel monetization, which leads to a product or service sale. This form of monetization depends more on the incoming traffic than your current audience, and that will increase as long as the traffic to the funnel increases.

A good way to start your business would be to hop on your fav niche, what you really like / be talented at, and crush it. If you're really good at it, your page will grow. By attracting people to your page, no matter what's the method you'll use, you will :

- Grow your audience and be able to sell method [1] - Instagram monetization

- Increase your traffic as you attract more and more, slowly getting closer to have authority in your niche (appear in Explore, recommended, etc), to be able to sell method [2] - Funnel monetization

Would be very interesting to follow the journey of someone going all-in on that!

I will make it a journey when I monetize, still in the beta phase.

Started doing other stuff and had to improve on this strategy. Started focusing on building an email list and selling through there. So it's not that I completely stopped, but I improved upon what I was doing. I missed out on a lot of sales by not collecting the emails of my followers and selling other products to them.

Yes, it still works but I was doing it in 2018-2021, and it was a lot easier. Then a lot of people found out about it and started flooding the niche and selling the same products so the competition increased a lot. I had 3K followers and was able to have $100+ days.

That is really great, you should make a guide about it to help new members.
 
Used to make 1k+ per month just posting 3x week and doing shoutouts.
 
I have about 8 aged accounts with over 800k total followers and over 8m impressions.

I run 3 type of service
1. I promote Models for $20 per post and tag them, just like mother slave method - average of $500 per month. I could have made more if I can receive PayPal funds, buyers find it difficult to pay.

2. I sell pages - I grow other pages mostly Model niche and sell, I make about $300 monthly with this. I grow 1 account to between 10-20k monthly

3. I have my website where I sell products on health and sex toys. All my traffic are from IG and I make around $1500 a month .
 
Nothing at all. Trying to make the account better in terms of followers and collaborate with some brands.
