hi, i have a Twitter account that has real followers, real posts ( with hundreds of re-follows ) I am working on getting the followers up and i was wondering how much do twitter accounts go for? I have about 2k followers now and i was wondering if you could use some type of formula to find out how much you would get for it. ( example: your account is worth an additional X dollars each 1,000 followers it has ) Keep in mind this is a pretty active account with real followers. If any body could help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Try Twalue, but I'm not even sure of their formula.

Try posting an ad in marketplace to find out. This is all subjective, so there might be people willing to buy your account for 10 dollars, other might be ready to shell out thousands.

If you have a Twitter account worth something, you can make more money with it by actually using it to promote your own services and sites. Leads mate, leads.

Or then sell shouts and such if you have nothing to drive leads to

Twitter account is the same as your average website or business - aside from tangible assets it's only worth a multiple of the profit it generates.

if your Twitter account isn't making money then it's not worth anything.

Keep building it up. It really depends how many people are engaging with your tweets. The more RT's you get = the higher of value your account is

A 2k account won't go for much sorry to say. Like 5-10$ really. A 100k however can go from 200-2000+. There is a lot of potential for an account 100k+ or even 50k+ if you do stuff right.

He hit the nail on the head. Let's look past the fact that unless it's an extraordinary account nobody is gonna give you more than $10 for a 2,000 follower account. You'd need to get an idea on how much the account is able to bring in on a monthly basis. Now, social media accounts are extremely volatile, so a buyer is going to want a relatively short payback period. Whereas ~2 years would be an acceptable amount of time to get your roi in, say, a commercial real estate property, 2-3 months would be more realistic with a Twitter account since there are so many variables that you can't control. So take what you make in a month*2.5 and that should give you a pretty good idea of what your account is worth.

There's no "$X for X amount of followers" formula because every account is different. There are 300k accounts worth more than 1mil accounts, so amount of followers doesn't play near as big a role in an accounts worth as it's activity does.

I think i read it on Flippa or something that a website sells for 8-12 months of the money it makes and social media accounts for only 3-6 months since it's not really yours and you might lose it at any time. Not 100% sure if those were the exact numbers but somewhere in that range.
