How much are FB pages going for lately?

I noticed a lot of people trying to purchase or sell old fb fan pages. Anyone know how much they're going for lately? IE; 50k fans for X amount and 1million for ____?

Im trying to buy all or any fanpage thats 50k+ fans. I have 15k Investments to put up.

This depends on a lot of factors and you have to be aware of these before even thinking about purchasing a page, or else you might as well chuck your money in the rubbish.

Risk of A Community Page

Any Facebook page can be turned into a community page if spammed enough but some are more likely than others. Pages with the names of a product or a company are very likely and emotions like 'Hugging'. So an example of a relatively safe page is 'Vomiting when seeing your parents show emotion towards each other' lol or some stupid shit.


How Much Has It Been Spammed?

This is a big one. Obviously if you buy a Fan Page, it is because you want it for marketing purposes, so you want the fans to be responsive to your updates. Before you buy any pages, ask for a sample update for $20 (depending on the number of fans). This way you can post whatever you like and see how much traffic you receive. Giving you a good indication on how much they have spammed the page.

Thank you for the detailed post, still trying to figure out what they're averaging on the market. Is it worth my time to create pages, add fans and sell them? I can get more than enough real fans to join a page, I just can't target them by niche.

1 Million fans goes for about $4k

Due to facebook's restrictions and other filters, not much

They don't go much anymore.
Facebook has gotten stricter on the amount of spam.
Though they could be pretty useful for getting traffic to facebook apps if that's what you're doing.

I think, its better to build new Pages with new fans than going for old accounts.. Because, Old account are already raped by its ex Admin and People might lost all their interests to follow that page. in this case it could a lose investment.

I have Even Sold pages of 1K for 3200 $ Just because of Niche
And a Page With 20K was sold only for 90$

Here is my formula -

Send a sample post, it might cost you lets say $X.

Measure the income on that post, make sure you setup up your measurement/analysis code before hand. Analytics is a very important part of IM business. I wont repeat that again.

Say your income on the post/traffic received by the post over a week = $Y.

Page Worth = $Y x 10 x Niche Value

Niche Value ranges from 0.1 - 1 , depending on the niche you are.

CPA Freebies Niche , Niche Value = 1

Adsense Niche , Niche Value = 0.2

Other niches can have their own niche values, which can be calculated by mere experiments.

Again, Niche Value is individualistic calculation which I did over several months on my various web properties after measuring ROI on the page posts, I bought.

Thank you everyone for the helpful feedback. Basically I want to create pages without spamming them at all and then flip them. I guess it's probably better to get contracted for an x amount of fans, so they can monitor it from the beginning to make sure it's not spammed.

If you are going to plan on doing that i totally recommend you go niche specific, by niche specific i mean like weight loss, beauty, health, finance, games, real estate, cars, sports etc you get the point.
