How movie streaming websites work?

First of all sorry if this is the wrong section...i'm interested in opening movie streaming website but for my country only so i will need to make subtitle for each foreign movie...my questions are
1. Do i need to upload each movie on filehoot or gorillavid or streaming.to or similar websites?
2. How to add subtitle to each movie so if its hosted on gorillavid they jus play it and subtitles are already there...or there is some plugins for adding subtitles while watching movie on website?
3. If everyone is doing like this then you need good vps and strong down and upload connection to download movie then add subtitle then upload it?

Not really sure but I would imagine that you need to add the subtitles to the movie first and then upload it.
And yes if you are working on something like this you will need a very good connection.
Also I don't think you will be able to edit videos via a VPS because they won't have the bandwidth or the graphics power to stream the video to you over the RDP conection whilst you edit it.

So you really need to do it on your local system and therefor you need your own fast broadband connection.

There are probably others who are way more knowledgable about this though so wait for others to chip in as well.

Based on your questions I can only guess that you have no idea of what you put your feet into.
I don't know where you live but building a streaming website & hosting videos requires 2 things:
- big balls because you're tempting the law.
- IT skills in order to put up a website for this (even the most basic ones, but based on your questions, you lack of knowledge in that field)

As for the website that is not an issue, and as for the big balls, well i have big ones :)
My question was because i know lot of websites in my country that have 1000's of videos hosted on Filehoot, gorilavid...etc and all with subtitles on my language. And because i know that best speed in my country is max 50mb/s (but for most people they have about 10mb/s). I don't know how do they do it, because it will take you a lot of time and resources to complete that. If you do just 10 movies a day, which is a lot then you will need one month for 300 only...and that is to work 12-16h minimum...So that is why i asked how do they do it, don't worry how will i do it :)

My guess is that they use a VPS with a gigabit connection.
 
I would keep my hands of it, if i'm not able to gather such information myself.
Using your private IPS? :pokey:
My guess is that they aren't even uploading from your country.
 
1, you can using xilisoft editor to softsub to your movies before upload to host. Or you can hardsub with Virtual Dub or some software that can do it. because some site like vk.com, will n't accept softsub.
2. If you want to upload more movies ( hundreds or thoussand a days) you should rent a vps with higt speed connection to do that. it's so easy. just for more money, and you can do all.
