I recently started a amazon affiliate niche blog where I write reviews on products related to my niche. My articles are all usually in the list format.
I was just wondering what's a good word count that I should try and aim for.

there is no correct answer

do this: for your keyword, see what the word count is for the top 5 search result. then just a bit better than the average of those 5 top sites.

so every niche is different

as to counting the word count, I suggest to do Ctrl+A, copy, and paste as text in word document and see what the word count is

also, since you are going through this exercise, see the number of times your keyword is mentioned when you take the text to word document. this should help with figuring out the appropriate keyword density.

Well if you are new and want to rank fast then you should write 1000 to 1500 words article with informative.

If there are other affiliate websites in the top 10, try and write a few hundred more words than they have. That's usually worked well for me in the past.

Anything 800+ words work fine. Just make sure your article actually help the user.

Make sure you offer something different. If your blogpost starts with same structure as other top ranking pages then you are not offering anything new.

I'm usually happy with around 5,000-10,000 words but like others have said, it really depends on the subject and key words. Do your research and go that little bit higher than the others

1000 words is sufficent for an optimized 'anchor' or main pillar article for a site, 400-500 is sufficient for a satellite or miscellaneous article on the site. The smaller article is also usful for short guest posts or as an "ambassador" article on a separate property, that promotes or points to the main site.

The only answer to this question exists in your keyword top 10 page.
check how many words top ten ranking pages are using.
and you just need to write more content as compare to all of them

it not just about the amount it also about facts .

fact writing can be a sentance long and hit top on seo .

google wants facts .

of cours you need more then the comp but facts come into place now days

strong social presence needed aswell

There´s no right or correct answer here. This depends on your niche. Check your keyword on google and click on the top 5-10 results and see what everyone is doing and just try to make it better.
But personally anywhere between 1.5k to 2.5k words but make sure to add graphics like photos, videos and infographics to make it more appealing to the readers eyes.

It depends on the specific content, but I usually do between 2 and 4 thousand words for things like that. So about 1k goes towards explaining the topic and presenting a brief buying guide, and the rest is a list format, maybe with a pros and cons section, or something similar, that lets you use bullet points. I suggest you take a look at what your competitors are doing, I’ve also seen people put up under 1500 words for those kinds of articles, although they usually only review a few products.
