how many votes to get front page on reddit/digg

digg is not that hard to hit. i hit it on a regular basis. what it takes though is time. you have to build your mutuals up to around 100 or so. make sure they are active diggers who get your stuff daily. you have to get theirs daily in return. then build a network on gtalk for non mutual diggs. that's all! the traffic is crazy, but i'm not going to lie, it sucks up a lot of time to keep a power profile.

i have searched a website that tells if you can get 40-50 votes in 30 minutes you probably on front page. If you get 70-80 in under 18 hours you will probably stay at front page. But if you didn't get 40-50 vote in 24 hours you are not anywhere.

that's harsh! thanks for the info though. but it's hard to get those freakin votes unless i make a lot of dummy accounts

I tried a while back (6+ months) but they caught me making a bunch of accounts. I was using proxies but I think what got me caught was making an account digging my story logging out doing it again. should have dugg more stuff than my own story.

You can get a lot of traffic by spamming the comment sections though

I think digg changes up its algorithm so what it took to hit front page last year won't work now.

I've hit front page of reddit with as little as FOUR accounts.

Let me clarify though, my links were to a page with a humorous image, so it was something people WANTED to see. If you are linking to a shitty MFA website that looks like spam it doesn't matter if you have 500 accounts, the rest of the site members will downvote you into oblivion.

If you have something genuinely interesting to read/see, and have 15-20 accounts then yes, you can submit with one and vote up your submission with the others, but don't do it from the same IP address (obviously).

Also be prepared for quite a few downvotes as other spammers are running bots/scripts on that site, they'll make a submission, and then autodown vote all other recent submission, to help push their own toward the top.

All once again, reddit is a piss poor place if you want hits on a shitty ad site. Most of these guys run ad block anyway. So your views will go up, but half of them won't even see your ads, and the other half won't click on them.

Really useful advice , I won't waste my time there.
