How Many Vegans on BHW?

I am pure vegan. All nonvegan will get punished by the God one day.

We humans are predatory species. Our ancestors used to hunt animals for food. This is how God made us. Why change?

OK, I am not vegan, I am not vegetarian. I eat meat and I am proud of it. I also eat vegetables and fruits, keeping healthy, etc ...

I'm on a very strict Vegan diet. I eat half of one for breakfast and half of one for dinner. I don't think I could eat a full one in one go.

I am not vegan. I am an eggiterian. Might go vegan some day in the future to test it out. Just like I left meat abt 10 years back and never looked back since then.

I am vegetarian for the most part, very rarely maybe once every couple months if someone offers me, or if its going to get thrown away because no one else will eat it: fish or MAYBE chicken i'll have it. But I do not buy meat products anymore.

World Health Organisation; carcinogenicity of the consumption of red meat and processed meat

Could you quantify the risk of eating red meat and processed meat?
The consumption of processed meat was associated with small increases in the risk of cancer in the studies reviewed. In those studies, the risk generally increased with the amount of meat consumed. An analysis of data from 10 studies estimated that every 50 gram portion of processed meat eaten daily increases the risk of colorectal cancer by about 18%.

If the association of red meat and colorectal cancer were proven to be causal, data from the same studies suggest that the risk of colorectal cancer could increase by 17% for every 100 gram portion of red meat eaten daily.

There is sufficient evidence of carcinogenicity in humans. In other words, there is convincing evidence that the agent causes cancer. The evaluation is usually based on epidemiological studies showing the development of cancer in exposed humans.

If you simply understood what carcinogens were; a substance capable of causing cancer in living tissue - then most people would change their lifestyle and eating habits.

Good luck with that in the future.

The problem with this study, is that it doesn't showcase the quality of the meat. Most meat is genetically manipulated with steroids, hormones, and medicines to make as much profit as possible. How about a similar study, with animals that have been able to live naturally on a healthy pasture, with the only human intervention being their slaughtering, in the prime of their meat rearing cycle? I bet those "cancer causing" studies would be a bit different...

I recently became a vegetarian, and I feel very good as a result. I may become a vegan in the future but I’m not sure as I feel like dairy products are providing a lot of vitamins that I’d otherwise be missing out on.

Then again, I heard that most shoulin monks are vegan and they’re probably some of the fittest people by all accounts.

I eat a mix eat. I don't eat meat everyday and I don't really like eating vegetables every day too.
