How many upvotes in Reddit to make link ********?

It is not only about the number in upvotes.
Your post must get to the hot section on the frontpage of the subreddit and stay there for at least 24 hours.
Then they track the upvotes and the reactions to the post.
I've never managed to get a do follow link from reddit but a friend of mine used to do this with bots and fake accounts. Then he got the bots banned and now he is doing it with real account with karma over 50.000

Usually anywhere from 500-2500 but i find 1250-1500 the sweet spot
Not true. I have been able and am able to still build them without an account with 50k karma. It is about the post
