Hello Everyone ,

Can any one tell me how many tweets per day i can go with so it wouldn't be considered as spam ?

There's no limit for the number of tweets unless your intention is to "SPAM"

I've learned from previous WSOs and implementing by my self too... so 4 tweets per day is fine! Don't forget to schedule for posting by timing target location where you want others to "see" your tweets... You can Google it for "when is the best time for tweet", etc... then you will know how to do.

[h=3]Current Twitter limits[/h]The current technical limits for accounts are:

  • Direct messages (daily): The limit is 1,000 messages sent per day.
  • Tweets: 2,400 per day. The daily update limit is further broken down into smaller limits for semi-hourly intervals. Retweets are counted as Tweets.
  • Changes to account email: Four per hour.
  • Following (daily): The technical follow limit is 1,000 per day. Please note that this is a technical account limit only, and there are additional rules prohibiting aggressive following behavior. Details about following limits and prohibited behavior are on the Follow Limits and Best Practices page.
  • Following (account-based): Once an account is following 2,000 other users, additional follow attempts are limited by account-specific ratios. The Follow Limits and Best Practices page has more information.

But just because you can send that many tweets doesn't make it a good idea. 2/3 an hour will be seen as spammy by some.

After reading all TOS of twitter , and getting my some accounts i have posted this thread . If you have any other thing to tell me please go ahead .

Wouldn't it depend on the niche and what is being tweeted? For example if someone has a news blog couldn't they be tweeting as much as 20 times an hour without being considered spam?

There's no limit I do over 100 a day I tweet none stop honestly just feel free and tweet whatever

I think, 20 tweets/retweets = very good, 50 = OK, 100+ tweets/retweets = spamming.

Depends on your goals, personally one every half hour seems max you shoud do.

I use 1 tweet per hour ! I`m not afraid about Twitter spam list...I`m afraid to not loose my followers ... Someone who post every god damn 5 minutes is a sick person...

All I can say is, as a real user and a IMer I would unfollow any user that was tweeting more than 100 times a day. Under that and you should be fine.

For business it is recomended that you do about 10 a day in some of the articles I have read on the web, but I suppose it depends on what business your in and what are the quality of the tweets. I unfollowed someone that was doing hundreds of tweets as my feed was blocked up with their stuff.

I had a account that tweeting automatically 5min/tweet and it suspended like 7 days later. Wish this issue could help

If you account for the following you could come up with a auto tweet limit to look more natural.

Type of Content+Number of Tweets+Time of day tweets are tweeted+Period of the year(near holiday or not).
