Hello BHW,

I was just wondering if you start a new site how many highPR tier one links should you have? I know you cant just blast thousands, but if they are all high PR, what is acceptable in what time frame?

If you know of any good ebooks or thread about this please lmk.

Honestly, as many as you'd like. Just develop them well.

A mini-mini-twist on this would even be having 2 hosting IPs with a landing page linking to the money site and a blog linking to the landing page. You can treat the blog as a tier 1 as well as a tier 2 and one way is with url shortening or a redirect via another url that redirects to the money site.

Each time you make what you will treat as a tier 1, think of it as a mini-niche site. It makes quality last and results only improve and solidify throughout updates.

I start off with 20 high quality unique tier 1's. Following that i build around 2-5 every week constantly. Its working great so far, but it is tough hard work.

Lots. Diversification of link type and anchor txt seems to be playing a big role in staying above water... it's important to have high quality T1, but is they all say "KW1" you're screwed. And if it's a 2.0, do multiple posts...

I am not adding any backlinks in the first 2-3 weeks when I am adding constant content, on a daily basis if possible. After, I am going for multiple web 2.0 properties with diversidied anchor text, 30-40% my main keyword and high PR Blog comments but not 10k at once.

Smart Seo pointed very well, it is highly important to be constant and smart. Not Greedy :D

Where are you guys getting your content?
If it's your own, how do you come up with so much things to write about?

I'm just thinking they are most likely trying to rank very competitive keywords cause most of my websites are 10 pages. Some are even 1 page for 1 keyword. They all rank pretty well without updated content.
