How many tags is too many?

New to social media stuff.

Currently, I post an image using a share button, and it auto grabs the text which is nice. When sharing, I like to add a little bit of my own text before the hyperlink, then add some tags after hyperlink.

Wondering if too many tags will get me flagged and what a good number is. I'm posting about 3x a day to Twitter right now but I plan to do more in the future after I get a bit more organized.

On Twitter you shouldn't post more than 2-3 hashtags at a time.

In short: you want to include no more than 2 relevant hashtags (one blue and one green, no red), include a link, upload an image, (use emojis) and mind retweetability, don't write too long tweets, the ideal tweet length is between 70 and 100 characters.

Hashtagify.me is also a great tool to analyze hashtags, although it seems they changed the site recently.

When i used to do business on Twitter, i used to have 2-3 highly relevant hashtags.

Try to use Images, they convert well. Pin your tweet, retweet, and retweet.

I was wondering this too. Seems to be I was in the good zone, but a few times I have been in the 4-5 area.

Can someone clarify the problems that result from using too many hashtags? THis is actually a serious question. Im not sure that ive experienced a downside from 5+ tags consistently save for 1 critical reply out of 50k+tweets

it doesn't have an exact limit. Not more than 3 IMO. However, some people add more than 5 works fine for them
