how many proxies do i need?

There are free proxies, but you're better off buying just one good one. I think that's all you really need is one good one.

I think your're better off getting a few as akismet will use IP as a factor in detecting spam. I think one of the good sites is http://www.yourprivateproxy.com/ I can't check it cause it's blocked from here 
The number depends on how much blasting you intend on doing. For normal blasts, 10 is plenty, for large... around 100. But preferred numbers really depend on who you are asking

you mind giving rough ball park figures?
like 10 proxies will be good for 50-100k blasts?
if so, do I exclusively use those private proxies just to post or can I mix some public & private proxies while posting? which is best?
