Considering it scans the internet constantly, I'm wondering if it's plausible to use just private proxies with it. Anyone had any success doing so? If so, how many do you need for it to function correctly?

Thanks.

Private/Semiprivate are the only way to use it. With public u get 10% of whats possible because the proxies get blocked extremely fast or are already dead when youre posting. therefore the link never shows up. Its a real mess to work with public.

Im working with 100 private right now, the number of proxies you need is related to the footprints (advanced operators y/n?) and how often you set it to scrape (search engine query time).

You gotta test, start with 10 proxies/120 seconds and go down in steps of 10s and let it run for an hour. the moment you get proxiebans, rest 24h and add 10s again.

Regards

That sounds like a feasible plan. However, is it possible to use public proxies for scanning and then private for posting? From what I saw in the options, it looks like it should be possible, but when I attempted to do that, the next time it loaded public proxies from my API the private ones disappeared.

If you have scrapebox or something like that I would use SB to scrape and then import them into GSA. Public proxies are fine for scraping as long as you have enough of them.

Private is the way to go. I got tons of private proxies to make sure they don't get banned so they get a healthy rotation. I also use different SEs including Yahoo and a few other good ones so that I don't constantly query Google every X seconds. Add in the different domain TLDs for Google and I never get any of my proxies banned.

Previously I use 40 private proxies then I switched over to proxyrack where they give you acccess to hundreds of private proxies for a much lower price :)

Can someone tell me, if you are not scraping but and only posting, how many private proxies do you need?
thanks ;)
(I will be running it 24/7.)

100 Private Proxies.....

Buy them, you won't be disappointed!

I am using 130 private proxies and get like 1.5 lpm lol.

For scraping, scrapebox or gscraper are much superior to GSA SER. Remember, SER was built to build link not to be a scraper. The amount of proxies you'd need (forget about public proxies, too many will fail in longterm and you'll miss a LOT of potential targets) would be huge and still compare results that cannot compete with the 'pure' scraping solutions.

Another thing to consider is ressources. When SER is running, I'd focus my server ressources on building links much rather than scraping list. An ideal setup is to have a separated server just for running SER (linkbuilding) and another server just for scraping (listbuilding). With several tools like dropbox, you can auto sync the scraped links into GSA SER so it's continously processing fresh scraped URLs => your verified lists will grow like there's no tomorrow.

Private proxies are important and it depends upon the number of threads you are running.
