How many posts per day is too many posts per day?

Looking for a little advice on how many posts is too many posts on a wordpress blog.

It's a PR3 and about 2.5 years old, I just put that domain on one of my backlink energizers that has been pumping content for a while, and now I have decided to use the aged domain on this site.

I now turned off the backlink energizer and started adding content from ArticleRanks as well as the Google Trendinator plugin (found here on BHW).

How many articles is too many per day? Right now I have it set to accept 7 articles per day from ArticleRanks and 12 per day from Google Trendinator. Is this too many posts, should I turn down one or the other?

And do you think I should run both of these services on the same blog, or is it better to use just one or the other?

I don't use both of the above services, so I can't give you advice about that.

But, regarding the number of articles per day, there are two different trends
1) if you site is like a 'portal' (big resource site), the numbers you use are fine
2) if your site is a niche site, your numbers are too high. So, slow down and don't go over 3 posts per day

This site is supposed to be a 'news' website.. I still feel im adding too many though. I will tone it down a bit just to be safe.

Depends on how you could still show it as being natural as opposed to automated. Since you said its a news site, I would add/create about 10 authors, maybe one for each category like finance, business, sports, etc and then push articles at about 6-7 per author. That way you are well covered but I hope yo have a method to avoid duplicate content. Once in while add a few unique articles. If you use a magazine theme or something similar then get these uniqes to show on the top....that should help in case of a human review.


Other things - I would get a good theme to make it look professional....newsworthy, etc, etc...you get the picture.

I would suggest you keep the no of post not more than 4 per day....If you have material to use ..use them with more back link through other resources like article marketing etc...

If i have unique content, then I post 6-7 in a day. If it is scraped, then I would only put 2 or 3 up every other day...

I use AutoBlog Samurai and they recommend to post between 10-20 hours or about 2 posts per day. It is not normal to be able to post more then that by a human so the search engines know this and will pick up that you are autoblogging.
