I'm currently at 51200 posts, and 6 pages, website size is around 8 GB
Still running very fast.
Hardware: VPS Server + SSD Cached
Software: Memcached installed, + W3 total cache + eaccelerator
WOW you guys have a crazy amount of posts, what does the daily traffic look like on a website with 50k posts if you don't mind me asking?
Surely it will be very high. Even if each post gets only 1 unique visitors per day, that would amount to an aggregate traffic of 50+ thousand per day. I've never created a site as large as that because my target keywords and overall scope of my sites have never warranted it.
It depends on niche other factors (SEO and so on). But if you use right method (and some tricks) you can generate 50k+ site within an hour and costing you only a domain name.
I doubt that most of those pages are ever viewed
That`s true, there are so many factors to consider.
doesnot matter the number of posts .. The thing which matters alot is The quality posts
The number of pages or posts has VERY VERY LITTLE to do with your ranking and authority with Google. Just focus on quality.
