How do you come up with these rules? It literally doesn't matter. You can try posting a random number between 50-250 per day.
Or if these are from a database, like recipes or something, you can do large batches like 1000, but to pages, not posts.
I agree, but the question is: how TF did he get 20,000 posts? If you're strictly optimizing for SEO, it would be something like publishing 15,000 at once (more pages earlier for more to index, rank, and get traffic) and then dripping the rest out once a day for the next 5,000 days (making the site "fresh").
These kinds of things happen. Google is not going to punish a site just because it's got a lot of pages.

Need more info on the site, kind of content and purpose to really answer this question.
So it's a directory?
Post them all together. Submit sitemap.
Indexed faster = ranking faster. No reason to wait. Fire away.
hello! i'm new here and learning
I'm setup a new wordpress and have a lot of entries to post (20.000)
What you recommend? to post all togheter? or to start posting a few / day?
What is the best practice to fast indexing? and to rank well on google?
thanks a lot
