Personally i use a mix of both, not really a one or the other.

alot of people do that.. some because don't have the knowledge to use the tools, others don't have the time to use the tools, third simply don't know the existence of the tools, fourth simply don't want more load on their shoulders and outsource it..

Let's not forget the chances of leaving footprints on tools is pretty high. You need to focus at all times when submitting.

I use both and also manually do a lot of high PR commenting. You want to avoid footprints, like this it seems more naturaly and diverse.

I do both. Some things should be done manually, while others would be silly or nearly impossible to have done manually.
