I have a website that had 3 pages and was on page four, by just adding adding three more pages it jumped to top of page three. Which should meen that amount of content and pages are important. The question is now how many pages do you usually create?

1 landing page site can be enough, just as a 300+ pages authority site can be. It all depends on the purpose, competition, etc. Now... you just told us that just by adding three more pages you jumped to the top of page three, I think you have your answer right there. Keep adding content.

Well, there is no fixed answer to your question, buddy. It depends on the kind of website that you are trying to build. No matter what type of niche you are planning to pursue or whether you are aiming to build an authority website or not, remember that content quality matters more than the number of pages.

You website can have many pages or small amount of pages it is depend on your competition in your particular industry and your budget... If driving traffic to your website is your ultimate goal, then you must have quality content and a plan for creating new content to educate your consumers regularly. And remember, each page on your website site could be an entry door to your business- so create as many as you would like to see opened.

Google really likes your site man, how lucky you are There are many factors involved in getting the rankings improved for a site, it doesn't depend only on a single thing. Your site should be good at both On page & Off page factors. Keep doing the things which you have done before and also adding some more twist by reading many tut here. It will help you in the long run.

Causation and correlation are differnt things.
Just because adding more pages increased your rankings, doesnt mean that it caused your rankings to increase.
But then again, the more pages you have, the more chances of it getting indexed, and the more traffic you will get.
