Why so? Maybe you are focusing on other better and/or more expensive alternatives?
2.0 are the best thing since sliced bread.
The only big problem I've found with 2.0 is that they are really difficult to manage when they grow large in number. I'm still looking for a way to somehow centralize an amount of 2.0 with a good management system.

However, I noticed clients ask for high and higher quality blogs.

As long as you are building on different web2.0 platforms. Be sure email isnt displayed in footer or contact us page since this might be a footprint.
Every time you make web2.0 on platform where you already built - new email.

Most likely not.
Some you can make multiple blogs but subdomain XXX.WORDPRESS.COM but this is a waste because Google only take 1 backlink count from same domain.
Best to do it like this: As many WEB2.0 different platforms as you can and you only need several emails.

Do WEB2.0 still work? I got a few WEB2.0 from one of the sellers here. I am still debating its effectiveness though..

Effectiveness is disputable because in order what you are trying to achieve.
I really don't have issues boosting some of that SERP position on moneysites with them.
However the trick is to have network of great quality aged, indexed blogs.
I'm of course talking about legit network. Each blog 20+ posts etc.
The 1-2 article blog stuff mostly don't work long term and aren't that effective. Maybe good for PBN linkbuilding.

I get an IFTTT ring for all my blogs to syndicate them automatically. Still seems to work very well

I think effectiveness of web 2.0 depends how you choose them. Like many web 2 have no authority and nothing then without tier links they will be a waste so I stopped such sites. But, some are having great authority and they bring results fast so I use them.
