I'm building few free blogs, submitting articles, and building Angela type profiles but not sure what the maximum number of links to put in articles and profiles.

So what's a good number of backlinks to put in each (different anchors to the same site)?

Thanks

If you are posting articles on "Angela" type sites, then you can put as many as you want. To be on the safe side and limit the number of profiles that get banned, I usually stick to 2 or 3 at most per article. One link in the 1st sentence and 1 link in the last paragraph ( using a different kw each time).

On the blogrolls, I put 2 or 3 with one of them not being a site of mine. For example, I'll put 2 links to my surgery sites and one link to a government site that is related. Just don't use your keywords in the gov site link. Then I'll wait a few days and do the same thing again. Same thing goes for any RSS feeds that you can add to your profile.

In the "about me" or "bio" section, you are pretty safe in putting 2 links.

There are no hard and fast rules. You just have to experiment and see what happens.

Thanks again for your advice. I was asking as I saw some profiles like this:

blablabla[link], blblablblblbla blblablblblbla blblablblblbla [link], blblablblblblablblablblblbla[link]. blblablblblblablbla [link] and blblablblblblablblablblblblablblablblblbla [link].

As you can see this is 5 links in a 2 lines of text, and I was thinking whether it's seen as span by the search engines.

Links should be inserted in footer of every articles. Otherwise it will look like SPAM

Maximum 2 links per article or blog.

2+ is not spam but it will do no good as the power of each link will be negligible in that case.
