How many links from a single domain is it worth getting?

Hi

I'm curious. I have www.mydomain.com and I have the chance of getting a link from www.otherdomain.com - great! But is it worth getting a link from www.otherdomain.com/page2.htm as well? Or do you only get link juice from a single link? Would it be better to get a 2nd link to www.mydomain.com/page2.htm to maximise link juice or is the rule of thumb one link from each domain?

if u get from different pages it's still totally worth it, but i dunno until how many...

In my opinion, it's only worth it if each page that links to you uses a different anchor text.

I know a Guy , he owns a Domain with 200k Indexed Sites he links with only One anchor to his another Domain. He Ranks #1 for that keyword and its a really difficult keyword.

One link from one domain from your niche is advisable. If you go for more than one links then you are asking for more trouble.

depends on the domain, if it is a high pr high authority domain that gets traffic why would you be worried?

For instance if I had an SEO company and BHW decided to post how great my site was 5, 10 or even 20 times that is not a bad thing at all, its all organic traffic!

Thanks for the replies - it's appreciated.

I can see that getting multiple links from a good site would be handy but I just wonder if that's good for getting potential traffic from that site rather than improving rankings in the SERPs. I'm sort of leaning towards the you get 100% of the juice with the first link on a domain then each other links are a lesser %age.
