How many link wheels are you using to target a single keyword / phrase?

I recently setup a link wheel (10 sites) that point to each other and to my money site. I've also done a 10K Xrumer blast on each node in the wheel.

Here's my question... Let's say that you have a page you're wanting to increase in the SERP's. How many link wheels are you setting up to target that page? 1? A dozen? More?

I just want to get a general idea of how this concept is being used and how many wheels it takes to start seeing results.

There isn't a fix number fo this, every website is different in Google's eyes.
