Hello BHters..

I was searching to get a list of all the backlink generation methods but didn't find any complete list!

so i would like to ask question to you guys about how many backlink methods you know? a list? so it would be helpful to all newbies like me for link diversification.

For example:

1) Directory submission
2) Social bookmarking
3) Article submission
4) PR Submission
5) RSS Submission
6) Blog Commenting
7) Forum Profile creation
8) Forum Postings
9) .edu/.gov blog comments

etc..

hope someone can share a full list of methods which we can do on our website!

Hello,
I know all the techniques of SEO and i would like to share one more thing which i have use to get back links that is not used by many of the SEo experts and that thing is Content sharing which is just like article submission but in this we submit our content on content sharing sites.

+ guest posting
+ sidebar links (in blogs mostly)
+ network marketing (fb!!!)
+ video sites (youtube + top 10)
+ wiki links
+ 2.0 (obvious!)
+ media (banner) buying (if your CTR is nice!)

some link baits would be nice... create a big ass post on your blog (700+ words, linkable to) and post it on some forums where other bloggers congregate!

best to check the competition on top 5 positions... grab their links (sucks that i don't have scrapebox^^) and apply some link velocity pyramids gogogo 1st pos =) for onpage seo use web content studio!

By the way above all methods will bring enough SERP movement mainly High PR blog comments, Social bookmarking etc.,

The secret is to mix them up together...like create a good link pyramid etc.
 
if your site adds a great value to the visitor you can mail bloggers in your niche and ask them nicely to put the link on their sidebars (some will ask for a reciprocical link, some won't).

Even a guest post will do (on high pr, many followers quality blogs)!
 
There are various way of link building, you can opt anyone what you feel best according to you directory submissions, article posting, forum posting, blog submision, blog commenting. Whatever you do must be of quality then only you will be considered good by search engine.
 
All these technics are great.
however...
what is the right MIX in % and especially thedegree of INTERLINKING between all those methods to make sure G loves you longer than a few weeks.

?% self hosted sites (WP, WPMU, ...)
?% web2.0
?% article submissions
?% directory submissions
?% forum posting,
?% blog commenting,
?% social bookmarking
?% twitter, facebook, youtube marketing
etc. ???

of course many variations will be ok, but maybe some of you have gained knowledge of what should not be done to survive longer or what is very effective.

I opened another thread in this forum ("Best Linkwheel for long term") to start a discussion about it, but this thread here suits pretty well for this question, too.
 
Diversify your link type.
Both the link types & the platforms, like eg : social bookmarking type of links you have a ton of platforms like phpdug, pligg..
 
For me comment backlinks from low obl sites makes much sense!!
 
Adding articles to self-created www like WP, forums, high trusk rank profiles, directories (free and not paid), www like business cards, company databases, social media, blogs (blogspot, wordpress), you can send paid article for better portals if you can manage it with your budget

Sometimes only 2 or 3 of these tools are enough to boost a position of your site
