Make sure they are around 200 words between each other (4 paragraphs ish) for best results. Also make sure they are contextual, switch up the anchor text and weave them in the content, not just put "read more about X here" somewhere random.

It depends on the length of the article. We can use up to 2 internal links and 1 external link for a 500 - 600 word article. You can increase the count depending on the length of the articles. Also, avoid overdoing with too many internal & external links. Sometimes it will affect the user experience of your website.
